Health Infrastructure Current Status Strategies
Health institutions per ten lakh population 102 As per the national standards there should be 5 beds per 1000 population. Needs more than 2 lakh beds to meet the national standards. Currently there are 83 diagnostics and as per the national standards, there should be 1 diagnostic center per 10,000 populations.Restructuring of health institutions by upgrading infrastructure, IPDs facilities & emergency facilities. Setting up of FRUs in every PHCs with blood bank and specialist facilities.

Patient Turnout Current Status Strategies
IPD bed occupancy rate % 41 Awareness on illness and importance of good health to the population; increased frequency of OPD & IPD visits; increased accessibility and affordability of trained health staffs including number of doctors. Bihar has the highest prevalence of cardiovascular cases consisting of 35% of the total population; diabetes prevalence is 32% which is highest. Trained specialist either through direct appointing, through telemedicine or contractual is needed to cater to this growing need of tertiary diseases. Digital health Incentive Scheme (DHIS) to boost healthcare services and encourage public adoption of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission.
