Health Infrastructure Current Status Strategies
Healthcare Infrastructure: PHC-primary CHC-community SC-sub-centre FRU-first referral Health & Wellness Ayushman Bharat Centers S-HWC PHC-HWC U-PHC-HWC 2060 57 9344 35 1194 1049 98 The population of Bihar is growing at the rate of 1.23%. Total number of beds ( govt+pvt) is 41,800. As per the national standards there should be 5 beds per 1000 population. Needs 2,23,593 more to meet national standards. Currently there are 83 diagnostics and as per the national standards, there should be 1 diagnostic center per 10,000 populations. The total requirement of diagnostic center is 12,850. Restructuring of health institutions by upgrading infrastructure, IPDs facilities & emergency facilities. Setting up of FRUs in every PHCs with blood bank and specialist facilities. ( as per the 2019-20 health infrastructure gap data) .
